South Willow Canyon has a lot of photo opportunities....wildlife, mtn. landscape, I'll post a few shot from my last outing (two weeks ago). And Stansbury Island has some interesting landscape although somewhat remote (gravel road but very well maintained).

I like your field trip ideas. Hopefully we can get something going for some fun field trips. It would be fun to meet other photographers in the Tooele area.

Thanks Brent. Great ideas. I've wanted to go to Stansbury Island myself, because I've never been there. I will certainly be checking out South Willow Canyon. I've been toying with the idea of going to Bensen Grist Mill. Sometimes I think it just wouldn't offer enough, but then I was there at Sunset the other day and I really liked the lighting and it was a good opportunity to try and get a great sunset shot. I really want to start having some out into the Salt Lake area because there are some great places to go and shoot. I just don't know how people feel about driving that far.

Brent, hope you don't mind, I'm moving your pictures over here...just because I had someone confused about whether or not those were part of the photo challenge.

I read this in a photography magazine... a true photographer will find endless possibilities to photograph with in a mile of their home.
So so very true... Tooele has endless possibilies depending on what YOU want to shoot. I do mostly portraits and have had not shortage on finding unique locations to use right here in Tooele. I usually get some nature shots in while models are changing. There is beauty in everything-everywhere, you just have to be look for it!
